Tile Applications

These beautiful, textured fossil replicas will be conversation pieces for years to come. Each tile is an accurate reproduction of a rare fossil millions of years old. Unlike the fragile stone fossils, the tile is durable and can be used on the floor or wall. Imagine having casts of rare fossil specimens, some as old as 550 million years, embedded in your entryway, kitchen floor, or shower. To replicate the original fossils, we developed a technique for glazing that requires us to handle some tiles 17 times from start to finish--now that is handcrafted ceramic tile! We originally glazed the tile to match the actual fossils, but soon found that the icons were so beautiful that many designers requested them in other glaze colors. Each tile is 6" x 6" in relief. The Fossil Tiles are available in sand, ochre, slate, white travertine, russet, and leaf green.
