About Chase Tiles

We are a family owned and operated company located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains in southwestern Missouri. Debbie Powell (Director), her husband Dick Needham, and her brother Terry Chase formed the company in 1997. When you call, you may speak to Debbie, Dick, Mary (Debbie's mom), Chase or Patrick (Debbie and Dick's sons). Mike Powell, Debbie's oldest son, has also been active in the company. We take pride in extending our friendly family attitude to our customers.
Chase Tiles is unique because of its association with Chase Studio, the world's premier natural history museum exhibit fabricator. We often employ the Chase Studio artists and scientists who have created exhibits for the Smithsonian, the American Museum, the Field Museum and hundreds of other museums to assist us with designs.
The truth about Chase Tiles is that we actually began the company with the intent to publish children's nonfiction books. Debbie and Dick were both university professors in education with extensive experience in publishing. Terry also has been involved in publishing as an artist and author. We all have interest/expertise in science and education. To raise capital for our publishing ventures, we produced a number of gift items to sell to the museum store market. One of our gift lines was our decorative Fossil Tiles. Several people suggested that we should sell these on the tile market. After having our tiles tested for architectural suitability, we began exhibiting at Coverings. Since 2000, we have focused on producing high-quality, unique nature tiles.
